Molly Wood is the founder and CEO of Molly Wood Media, a climate storytelling and investing firm. She spent almost 25 years covering technology and business as a writer, podcaster, broadcaster, and on television. She worked for outlets including CNET, the New York Times, and Marketplace, and her work has also appeared in Wired and The Atlantic.
In 2017, she started researching and covering climate tech solutions while serving as the host of Marketplace Tech, a weekday national public radio program, and created a narrative podcast series. That work led me to pivot to venture capital in 2022 when she became an early-stage climate tech investor. That experience includes investing in Clarity Movement alongside Amasia.
As a venture partner, she serves as a scout for potential new investments in Amasia’s thesis areas (and invests in me where appropriate); advises Amasia portfolio companies on storytelling for various audiences; and shares knowledge about the climate space with the Amasia team.
