Alfredo Ruiz

Alfredo Ruiz is an accomplished design leader with extensive experience in innovative product development and user experience design. Currently serving as Design Lead for Project Kuiper and Alexa Smart Home at Amazon, Ruiz drives advancements in broadband connectivity and user experience across smart home products. Prior to Amazon, Ruiz held significant roles at IBM, where key contributions included leading the design and strategy of IBM Watson Assistant and overseeing a multidisciplinary team focused on Augmented Reality and AI solutions. Notable earlier positions include leading product development at Live Well Collaborative, application design for Steelcase, and product design at TYFSA SA de CV. Ruiz holds a Master of Design from the University of Cincinnati and dual Bachelor's degrees in Industrial Design from both Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and Universitat Politècnica de València.
