Prof Dr Haluk Demirkan

Dr. Haluk Demirkan, PhD PMP, currently serves as a Senior Manager in Cognitive Science and Machine Learning Science at Amazon, focusing on cognitive analytics, demand forecasting, and supply optimization for Amazon Devices. In addition to the role at Amazon, Dr. Demirkan is an elected Board Director and Chair of the Information Security Committee at Sound Credit Union, a co-founder and Chief Research Scientist at the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals, and a Milgard Endowed Professor at the University of Washington with a focus on service innovation and business analytics. Dr. Demirkan has held various academic and leadership positions, including founding director roles in business analytics programs, and has extensive experience in consulting and research across multiple high-profile organizations. Education credentials include a PhD in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
