Shariq Plasticwala

Shariq Plasticwala is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in diverse sectors. Currently serving as the Director and Board Member at Amazon since March 2024, Shariq leads payments and credit businesses across seven countries in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Turkey, and South Africa. Prior to this role, Shariq was the Founder and CEO of KAFQA from February 2021 to February 2024, where Shariq developed performing arts classes for children and certification courses for aspiring teachers and artists in India. Shariq also held significant positions at Medisync Health Management Services, including CEO and Board Member, where Shariq built a network of 20 asset-light secondary care hospitals serving over one million patients annually. Before that, Shariq spent eight years at Amazon.com, contributing as Director, Board Member, and CEO, and was instrumental in launching Junglee.com and expanding Amazon in India. Academically, Shariq holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
