Karen Saes

Karen Saes has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Karen is currently working at AMBERO Consulting GmbH, starting in January 2022 as an Internal Services Officer, and later being promoted to the role of Head of Section - Quality Management & Internal Services in October 2022. Prior to this, from July 2020 to December 2020, they worked as a Freelance Project Assistant (Acquisition & Administrative Support) at the same company. Before joining AMBERO Consulting GmbH, Karen was the Executive Management Assistant at the German Bunsen Society for Physical Chemistry from June 2017 to October 2019. Karen also has experience as a Familienmanagerin during their Elternzeit from June 2013 to May 2017. Karen has worked as an Executive-Assistentin/PR-Assistentin at the Deutsch-Brasilianische Industrie- und Handelskammer in Sao Paulo from February 2011 to July 2012. Karen started their career with internships at Messe Munchen as a Marketing und Kommunikation Praktikantin in 2010, at Europolitan as an Online Journalismus Praktikantin in 2009, and at ACIANA & bfz as an ASA-Stipendiatin for the project "Erstellung von audiovisuellen Materialien zur KMU-Beratung" from July 2008 to October 2008.

Karen Saes completed their Abitur in Geisteswissenschaften at Studienkolleg in 2006. Karen went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kommunikationswissenschaft and a minor in Politikwissenschaft at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2006 to 2010. Recently, from 2018 to 2021, they obtained a Master of Science degree in International Development from the University of Birmingham.
