Gurminder Singh

Chief Technology Officer at Amberoon

Gurminder Singh has had a long and successful career in technology and computer science. Gurminder started as a Project Manager at ORG Systems in 1981 and then moved on to become Program Manager at the Institute of Systems Science in 1989. Gurminder then served as Director at the Institute of Systems Science (later called Kent Ridge Digital Labs) in the same year. In 2000, they founded, secured funding and lead NewsTakes Inc. as President & CEO. In 2004, they served as CTO (consulting) at Shimon Systems, and in 2008, they founded and served as CTO of MoSoNex. In 2009, they were a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University's H-STAR Institute. Finally, since 2002, they have served as Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Center for the Study of Mobile Devices and Communications at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in California. Most recently, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer at Amberoon Inc. in 2021.

Gurminder Singh received their Ph.D. in Computing Science from the University of Alberta between 1985 and 1989.
