Chris Turkstra has a long and successful career in product management, beginning with Ernst & Young LLP in 1993 as a Senior Consultant. Chris then moved to Andersen Consulting/Accenture in 1995 as a Principal Consultant. In 1996, they joined Microsoft in various leadership roles for Windows, Xbox, and Media Center. In 2010, they became Principal GPM for Embedded and in 2009, they founded and built the Xbox Apps Studio. In 2010, they joined Apple as Director of Engineering PM, followed by Samsung in 2012 as Vice President of Product and Design. In 2016, they joined Google as Director of Product Management, and in 2020 they joined Amazon as General Manager. Most recently, they were appointed Chief Product Officer at Ambient Photonics in 2023.
Chris Turkstra received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Hope College in 1993. Chris then went on to pursue a degree in Engineering Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2014.
