Mark G. has extensive experience in systems architecture and engineering. Mark is currently employed as a Senior Solutions and Systems Architect at Ambiq. Prior to this role, Mark worked as a Systems Architecture Consultant and Project Engineer at Mark Guzzi Consulting, LLC, where they provided expertise in semiconductor systems and software architecture, mobile computing, and wearable design.

From 2018 to 2021, Mark worked at Fitbit as a Technical Director: Systems Engineering. In this role, they were responsible for evaluating and selecting MCU and SoC platforms for Fitbit's smartwatches and fitness trackers. Mark also played a key role in creating platform requirements, selecting SoC platforms, and leading a team to update the device-to-server secure communications architecture.

Before Fitbit, Mark worked at Qualcomm for over 19 years in various engineering leadership positions. As VP Engineering, they drove QCT Software and Product Strategies, created and managed the software architecture team, and instituted product families that shared hardware and software architecture. Mark was also a key founder of QCT's Smartphone Processor strategy and led the software development for Qualcomm's first family of applications processors.

Additionally, Mark has prior experience as a Principal Software Engineer & Software Architect at CSTI, Director of Systems Architecture at The Advanced Computer Research Institute, Principal Engineer at Encore Computer Corporation, and Software Engineer at the University of Illinois Center for Supercomputing Research and Development.

Mark G. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Math/Computer Science from Santa Clara University, from 1980 to 1984. Mark then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, from 1984 to 1986.
