Scott Hanson began their work experience as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan in September 2004 and held this position until December 2008. During this time, they also worked as a Research Fellow at the university from December 2008 to October 2010. In 2010, they founded Ambiq and served as the company's Founder and CEO from January 2010 to February 2013. Scott then transitioned to the role of Founder and CTO at Ambiq from February 2013 onwards. In both of their roles at Ambiq, they played a key role in developing ultra-low power system-on-chip (SoC) technology for various devices, resulting in over 170 million battery-powered devices being enabled by Ambiq's SoCs.
Scott Hanson graduated from the University of Michigan in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Scott then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2006. In 2008, Scott further pursued their education at the University of Michigan and earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering.
