Erika Mitchen

Erika Mitchen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quality assurance and operations within the biotechnology and clinical laboratory sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Quality Assurance at Ambry Genetics since February 2022, Erika is responsible for developing strategic quality plans and overseeing a team of over 10 quality professionals. Prior experience includes significant roles at Asuragen, where responsibilities ranged from managing CLIA operations to overseeing compliance audits, and previous positions at XBiotech USA, Ambry Genetics, WiCell Research Institute, and the University of Wisconsin, contributing to the development and management of quality systems, laboratory operations, and research initiatives. Erika holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
