Hubert Smith

Hubert Smith, Jr. is an accomplished legal and business affairs executive with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs at AMC Networks since November 2013, Hubert oversees all business-related matters for non-fiction and alternative programming across multiple channels, including AMC Studios and BBC America. Prior experience includes roles at HTS Media Law, PC as Principal, Gurney Productions/ITV as VP of Business & Legal Affairs, and various positions at Twentieth Television and 20th Century Fox, where responsibilities ranged from negotiating talent agreements to managing legal affairs for original programming. Hubert's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School.
