Anthony Koku has worked in a variety of roles since 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they worked as a Geographic Information Systems Technician for the US Navy, where they operated and managed IT resources, trained personnel on classified data handling and transmission processes, installed and configured classified IT Unix-based resources, performed system monitoring, fault isolation, and circuit restoration of communications equipment, and handled Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and cryptographic modules. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as a Communications Security Custodian for Alpha Insight, where they distributed keying material to various posts on Tier III devices via LMD/KP, performed hardware and software maintenance on over 1000 encryption devices, and provided technical support and cryptographic services for over 300 domestic and foreign posts. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Security Specialist III for ITEQ Bearing Straits Solutions, where they documented procedural steps for performing assigned duties, acted as an Alternate Enterprise Integrated Network Encryption manager, and provided technical support and cryptographic services for over 300 domestic and foreign posts. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Project Manager/Security Specialist IV for CACI International Inc, where they created training material and provided technical training for 900+ employees within the Department of State, had engineering knowledge of encryption products and tier 3 device management, and provided guidance, quality assurance, and process/policy support for information resource governance within the department. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Program Manager/Lead Security Specialist for SAIC, where they managed hardware and software supporting the Department of State (DOS) networks globally valued over 10 million dollars, formulated and organized solutions to support client inter connected projects across multiple platforms and geographic areas around the world, and managed a team of 10 contractors in support of the DOS global Communications Security (COMSEC) hardware and software operations and maintenance program, performance management, and security assessment per NSA standards. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as the Director of Customer Success for Adiva Publishing, where they managed customer success center day to day operations and employees, conducted interviews and hired personnel responsible for customer success and customer issues, and worked with customers (new and current) to design and execute a plan of success towards the goals set for each individual customer. Lastly, from 2020 to present, they have been working as a Business Analyst II for AMDEX Corp, where they are the AMDEX contract SME and EPLC Point of Contact (POC) for project management tasks and Business Analysis interfacing with federal workforce for National Center for Environmental Health/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (NCEH/ATSDR) program offices within The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and The Centers of Disease Control (CDC). Anthony evaluates business processes, anticipates requirements, uncovers areas for improvement, and develops and implements solutions as needed in support NCEH/ATSDR, and conducts research and coordination of efforts with NCEH/ATSDR Business Stewards, Security/Technical Stewards and Program Managers to complete HHS and CDC mandated EPLC deliverables taking into consideration IT management, security, and compliance mandates and policies.
Anthony Koku attended Bowie State University from 2009 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology. Anthony continued their studies at Bowie State University until 2016 in the same field.
