Jacob Hambalek is a highly skilled scientist with experience in implementing advanced RNA amplification techniques for point-of-care diagnostics at Autonomous Medical Devices Incorporated. As a Scientist at University Lab Partners, Jacob designed and taught a comprehensive course on PCR assay design for students. Previously, Jacob contributed to research at the UCLA Department of Bioengineering, optimizing a sensitive DNA detection digital assay under the supervision of Professor Dino Di Carlo. Jacob also served as Head Teaching Assistant for a Bioengineering Capstone Design course, mentoring numerous undergraduate students and managing project budgets. Additional experience includes leading the UCLA Bruin Marching Band as Drum Major and enhancing operational efficiency during a Manufacturing Internship at Shire. Jacob holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UCLA.
