Youval Bitner

Youval Bitner has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 as an Editor and Foreign News Reporter at Maariv. Youval then worked as a Researcher at the Jerusalem Institute for Market Studies from October 2014 to April 2015. From February 2015 to January 2016, Youval was a Research Assistant at Tel Aviv University. Youval continued their research work as a Research Assistant at INSS Israel from November 2015 to August 2016. In 2016, Youval took up the role of a Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University, which lasted until September 2017.

In October 2017, they joined Gett as a Data Analyst and played a crucial role in conducting complex quantitative research and providing insights on transportation marketplace dynamics. Youval worked closely with product teams and top leadership as an analytics domain expert. At Sparks AB, Youval served as a Data Scientist from March 2019 to March 2022. In this position, they researched, trained, and deployed Neural Networks and classical ML models for time-series classification. Youval also developed additional features and layers to optimize the prediction pipeline.

Currently, Youval Bitner holds the position of Senior NLP Data Scientist at Amenity Analytics, starting in March 2022.

Youval Bitner completed their education in economics and history at Tel Aviv University. Youval obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from 2012 to 2015. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from 2015 to 2017, also at Tel Aviv University.

In addition to their formal education, Youval Bitner has obtained several certifications. In October 2020, they completed the "Sequence Models" certification from Coursera. In June 2020, they earned the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" certification, also from Coursera. Youval received the "Statistical Learning" certification from Stanford University in March 2020.

Youval Bitner further enhanced their knowledge and skills in data science and machine learning by completing the "Applied Machine Learning in Python" certification from Coursera in August 2019. In June 2018, they completed the "Introduction to Data Science in Python" certification, also from Coursera. Although not specified, they have also obtained a certification in "SQL for Data Science" from DataCamp.
