Michael Monroe

Michael Monroe is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in clinical and health policy. Currently serving as Senior Manager, Clinical and Health Policies at the American Academy of Family Physicians since March 2019, Michael also holds titles as Clinical and Health Policy Strategist and Population Health Strategist. Prior experience includes serving as Education Program Coordinator at The University of Kansas from September 2017 to March 2019, and as Health Promotion Specialist at the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department from July 2015 to September 2017, where Michael developed initiatives promoting physical activity and nutrition. Michael's foundational experience as Community Health Coordinator with the Peace Corps involved creating health education programs in rural Cameroon. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Missouri State University.
