Kierra Gipson

Kierra Gipson, PA-C, currently serves as a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Montefiore since December 2023. Kierra holds leadership roles within the American Academy of Physician Associates, including Student Academy Board of Directors President-Elect, HOD Student Delegate, and AAPA Student Academy Representative. Previously, Kierra was a Laboratory Supervisor at SELECT REFERENCE LABORATORIES, where responsibilities included managing shifts, training personnel, and validating procedures in a CLIA-regulated laboratory. Kierra also worked as a Molecular Technologist at Multigen Diagnostics, conducting research and daily tests in PCR and DNA analysis. With a background as a Biotechnology Research Assistant at East Carolina University and experience as an EMT-Basic, Kierra's education includes a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies and Biomedical Sciences from Lincoln Memorial University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from East Carolina University.
