Hyder Alkasimi

Hyder Alkasimi is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in architecture and software development within the aviation industry. Currently serving as the Director of Architecture at American Airlines since April 2002, Hyder is responsible for establishing the architecture strategy, driving modernization efforts, and enabling Airline Operations to enhance competitiveness. Previous roles at American Airlines include Sr. Principal Enterprise Architect and Sr. Application Architect, where Hyder played a crucial role in defining enterprise architecture strategy and promoting software best practices. Prior to American Airlines, Hyder worked at Sabre Holdings as a Principal Consultant, Project Manager, and Sr. Software Developer, focusing on C++ and Java-based airline systems. Early career experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at Karta Technologies. Hyder holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
