Grace Stewart

Grace Stewart has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Grace has held several roles in various organizations. Grace served as the Director of Equity and Inclusion at the American Alliance of Museums, starting in June 2023. Before that, they were the Assistant Director of Equity & Inclusion at the same organization from October 2022 to June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Manager for DEAI Programs from March 2021 to October 2022. Grace also worked as the Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion Project Manager at the American Alliance of Museums from June 2019 to March 2021. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy since January 2021. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Metal Museum from March 2014 to May 2019, Registrar at the National Civil Rights Museum from September 2012 to March 2014, Programming and Exhibitions Intern at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture from April 2011 to May 2012, Human Rights Arts Festival Volunteer at Amnesty International in 2010, Art Instructor at Arlington County from 2008 to 2010, and Intern at the Women's Leadership Center at Alfred University from 2005 to 2008.

Grace Stewart earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramic Sculpture from Alfred University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Grace later pursued a Master of Arts Management degree at Carnegie Mellon University from 2010 to 2012, specializing in Arts Management.
