Ben Traxler

Ben Traxler is an experienced outdoor professional with a background in skiing, climbing, and adventure education. Since November 2014, Ben has served on the ski patrol at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, ensuring guest safety and managing risk. As the owner and rock guide at Southwest Climbing since October 2011, Ben provides courses and assessments for the American Mountain Guides Association while managing curriculum development and logistics. Additionally, Ben has been a mountain guide and instructor for the American Alpine Institute since May 2006, leading various climbing and skiing expeditions. Ben has also been an adjunct instructor for the Adventure Education Program at Prescott College since January 2005, teaching a range of outdoor courses. Ben holds a B.A. in Wilderness Leadership from Prescott College and is a certified rock guide through the American Mountain Guides Association.
