Jason Speer

Jason Speer has extensive experience in functional safety and powertrain controls, currently serving as Functional Safety Manager at PACCAR since August 2007. Responsibilities include enhancing functional safety processes, developing work instructions, mentoring engineers, and supporting management decisions through data analysis. Prior roles at PACCAR encompass positions such as Powertrain Controls Development Supervisor, Powertrain Controls Engineer, Powertrain Calibration Engineer, and Software Application Engineer, focusing on engineering compliance with ISO26262 and ASPICE standards. In addition to automotive engineering, Jason is also an Avalanche Instructor and Splitboard Guide with American Alpine Institute Ltd since December 2018, teaching various winter safety courses. Earlier career roles include service advisor at Harmony Motorworks and assistant manager at Zumiez, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Western Washington University.
