Jim Mediatore

Instructor, Tenured Guide at American Alpine Institute Ltd

Jim Mediatore is an accomplished instructor and guide with extensive experience in mountaineering and alpine climbing, currently serving as a Tenured Guide at American Alpine Institute Ltd since March 2015. As the Lead Guide for Denali summit expeditions, Jim has demonstrated expertise in high-altitude guiding. Additionally, Jim has contributed as a SAR Technician for the Joint Antarctic Search & Rescue Team since October 2016, specializing in emergency response operations. Previous roles include Consultant at the Human Resources Research Organization, Director of Scientific Operations at Genetic Services, Inc., and Senior Research Associate at Vitruvean, LLC, with a solid background in biological research, data management, and medical education. Jim holds a Master’s degree in Neurobiology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder.
