William O. Beeman is an accomplished academic and anthropologist with extensive experience in higher education and research. Currently serving as a Fellow on the Executive Board of the American Anthropological Association since 2008, Beeman has held the position of Professor and Chair of Anthropology at the University of Minnesota since January 2007, overseeing departmental management and curriculum development with a significant annual budget of $4 million. Previously, Beeman was a tenured Professor at Brown University from 1983 to 2006, directing Middle East Studies and contributing to research on the societal impacts of computerization. Beeman also collaborated as an author on important works in vocal performance and has a strong educational background that includes a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
