Maryam Shami has a diverse work experience in the field of medical sciences. Currently, they are the Director of the national Student Committee at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, since March 2022, and also works as a PHD Candidate since October 2021 at Ahvaz Jundishapour University of Medical Sciences.

maryam was a Member of Iran's National Elites Foundation since January 2020, and a Member of the American Association for Cancer Research since November 2019.

Maryam has also worked as a Reviewer at Shoushtar faculty of medical sciences in February 2023.

In the past, they were an MSc Student at Tehran University of Medical Sciences from August 2019 to October 2021. During this time, they held various roles, including being a Member of USERN and a Member of the Patent Committee at the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Earlier in their career, Maryam worked as a Midwife in a hospital at Zanjan University of Medical Sciences from May 2014 to October 2018.

Maryam Shami earned a Master's degree in Direct Entry Midwifery from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, completing their studies from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in midwifery from Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, studying from 2010 to 2015. maryam is currently pursuing a Health MBA from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2022.
