Rick Buck has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades in various industries, including healthcare, communications, and media. Rick began their career as a Creative Services Director at WMGM-TV40 in 1988. Rick then worked as a Public Relations Manager at NovaCare, where they managed communications for their physical therapy offices.

In 1996, Rick joined AmeriPath as the Director of Marketing Communications and played a key role in establishing the Marketing Communications Department and supporting an IPO. Following this, they worked as the Vice President of Marketing Communications at Home Medical of America, where they built and launched the company's brand identity.

Rick's career progressed to AmeriHealth Caritas, where they started as a Director of Communications and was later promoted to Vice President of Corporate Communications. During their time there, they developed strategic communication strategies that contributed to the company's significant growth.

From 2004 to 2008, Rick served on the Board of Directors of the PRSA Health Academy. Rick held various positions, including Chairman in 2008, and contributed to the growth and success of the organization.

In 2008, Rick joined BAYADA Home Health Care as the Chief Communications Officer and Director of Communications. Rick led the development and implementation of a new brand identity, marketing campaigns, and digital initiatives. Additionally, Rick oversaw a team of 17 communication professionals, delivering innovative projects each week.

Rick's most recent position is as the Chief Communications Officer/Vice President of Communications and Public Relations at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) since 2012. In this role, they direct and implements the organization's communications and public relations strategic plan, aiming to position the AACR as a thought leader in cancer research and increase awareness of their initiatives.

In addition to their professional roles, Rick is also actively involved with the Rock and Roll Forever Foundation/TeachRock.org, serving as the Leadership Council Chair since 2018-2023.
