Larry Porter

Larry Porter is an experienced professional in the field of marriage and family therapy, currently serving as the Owner of LifeGate Christian Counseling since June 2009. Porter has held the position of Clinical Fellow at AAMFT since 1990 and previously worked at Sioux Falls Psychological Services as a Marriage & Family Therapist from June 2007 to June 2009. An academic background includes serving as an Assistant Professor and Instructional Designer at South Dakota State University from 1996 to 2007. Larry Porter earned a PhD in Marriage & Family Therapy from Texas Tech University (1992-1996), a Master's degree in the same field from Seattle Pacific University (1990-1992), and a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Literature from Northwest University (1986-1990). Educational background was initiated at Arapahoe High School, graduating in 1966.
