Elena Renken

Elena Renken is a seasoned professional in science communication, currently serving as the Manager of Journalism Projects & Multimedia at SciLine since April 2020, where responsibilities include leading production of guides to science topics and managing multimedia strategies. Previous roles at SciLine included Editorial Associate and Program Associate for Science Communications, focusing on research, writing, and outreach to journalists. Elena's experience also encompasses an internship with NPR's Science Desk, reporting on health and global development, and a writing internship at Quanta Magazine under the Simons Foundation, reporting on scientific advancements. Elena held the position of Editor in Chief at The Brown Daily Herald, overseeing editorial content, and has internship experience with NOVA | PBS. Elena graduated from Brown University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, and Society.
