Amy McElroy has a strong background in communications and web management. Amy began their career in 2008 as an Executive Assistant at Valente & Associates and later transitioned into roles focused on web development and content strategy. From 2009 to 2011, Amy served as the QSEN Project Coordinator, overseeing various projects related to quality and safety education for nurses. Amy then joined the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) as a Communications Coordinator, responsible for web updates, analytics, and newsletter coordination. Amy steadily progressed within AACN, becoming the Communications Manager in 2012 and then the Associate Director of Communications in 2014. In these roles, they led web redesign projects, managed staff and website training, and ensured continuous quality improvement efforts. Most recently, Amy served as the Director of Communications and Content Strategy, developing web strategies and reports on website analytics and success metrics. Amy excels in effectively communicating insights and recommendations to optimize web activity.
Amy McElroy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. Amy is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Professional and Technical Communication from the University of North Texas, which is expected to be obtained in 2023.
