Nichelle A. Thomas, BSN, RN, CNOR, currently serves as a Perioperative Nurse at Rand Memorial Hospital since December 2021 and also holds the position of Graduate Nursing Student Academy Liaison for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing since August 2023. Previous experience includes working as a Perioperative Nurse at Princess Margaret Hospital from May 2017 to December 2021, along with roles in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and as a Medical Surgical Nurse. Nichelle A. Thomas completed a Graduate Nurse Internship, gaining over 840 hours of clinical practice during tenure at The University of The Bahamas, which facilitated the transition to a registered nurse. Active involvement in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated includes roles such as Secretary and Vice President for various chapters. Nichelle A. Thomas is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science at Illinois State University, expected to graduate in December 2027, following a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of The Bahamas earned in 2017.
