Erik Anderson

Erik Anderson has extensive experience in battery technology and materials science, currently serving as Director of Battery Technology at American Battery Solutions Inc. since May 2019. In addition, Erik holds leadership positions at ECS - The Electrochemical Society - Detroit Section, including Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary since May 2018. Previous roles include Battery Research Manager for Anode and Senior Research Engineer at XALT Energy from January 2017 to April 2019, where Erik led advanced anode development for next generation lithium-ion batteries. Erik also contributed to the research and development of lithium-ion and advanced lead-acid batteries as a Senior Research Engineer at Energy Power Systems from May 2012 to December 2016. Earlier experience includes research at the University of Michigan's PSI Group as a Research Assistant from September 2010 to April 2012. Erik holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, completed in 2012 and 2011, respectively.
