Ashleigh Byrnes is an experienced communications professional with a career spanning over a decade in public affairs, media operations, and communications management. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the American Battle Monuments Commission since June 2022, Ashleigh previously held multiple roles at DAV (Disabled American Veterans) from October 2011 to June 2022, including Deputy National Communications Director and Associate National Communications Director. Prior experience also includes positions such as Pentagon Bureau Chief for The Pentagon Channel and Bureau Chief for American Forces Network in Kandahar. Ashleigh's career began in the United States Marine Corps as a Public Affairs Specialist and Broadcast Journalist. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Public Relations Management and a Bachelor of Arts in English, both from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
