Erle Deira (Rev.)

Erle Deira currently serves as the Director of Partnerships at the American Bible Society, a role held since September 2006, focused on expanding and building strategic partnerships for Bible translation and scripture engagement. Previously, Erle held the position of Executive Director for Eradicating Bible Poverty, where responsibilities included developing ABS's ministry in Africa and fostering global relationships with various Bible Societies and ministry partners. Prior to joining ABS, Erle was the Senior Manager, General Secretary, and CEO at the Suriname Bible Society for over twenty years, where leadership was provided in developing scripture engagement and translation projects across Suriname, Guyana, and French Guiana. Additionally, Erle has experience as the Deputy Director of Tourism at the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Suriname.
