Keith Belton

Senior Director, Policy Analysis And Statistics at American Chemistry

Keith Belton has extensive work experience in the fields of policy analysis, government relations, and advocacy. Keith is currently serving as the Senior Director of Policy Analysis and Statistics at the American Chemistry Council, where they analyze the benefits and costs of legislation and regulations, generates statistics, develops economic indicators, and identifies industry trends. Prior to this, Keith founded and served as the Principal at Pareto Policy Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in policy analysis and advocacy/lobbying services. Keith has also held positions at Indiana University Bloomington, where they directed research, education, and outreach on the impact of public policy on US manufacturing, and at The Dow Chemical Company, where they were the Director of Government Affairs focusing on energy and environment. Earlier in their career, Keith worked as an Economist at the Executive Office of the President, reviewing federal regulations and coordinating inter-agency reviews. Keith also held various positions at the American Chemistry Council and the American Chemical Society, where they worked in policy, economics, risk analysis, legislative affairs, and as an assistant editor.

Keith Belton completed their education in a chronological order. Keith began by completing their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry at the University of Maryland from 1983 to 1985. Prior to that, they studied Chemistry at the University of Delaware from 1981 to 1983. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Science from The George Washington University, attending from 1987 to 1989. Subsequently, they earned their Ph.D. in Public Policy from The George Washington University, graduating between 1990 and 1998. Prior to these higher education experiences, they completed their secondary education at Queen Anne's County High School.
