J. Allen Meadows has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. J. Allen began their career in 1986 as a Pediatric Resident at the University of South Alabama and later joined the National Jewish Medical and Research Center as a Fellow from 1989 to 1991. In 1989, they also became a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), where they eventually served as the President from 2019 to 2020. In 1991, Meadows became a Doctor and Owner of Alabama Allergy & Asthma and also joined the Alabama Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology as a member. In 2001, they joined Medem as a member of the Board of Directors, serving until 2010. Most recently, Meadows worked at AllerVie Health as a Medical Doctor from July 2021 to April 2023. J. Allen is currently the Executive Director of Advocacy and Governmental Affairs at ACAAI starting from July 2023.
J. Allen Meadows attended the University of South Carolina from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology. J. Allen then pursued their medical education at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine from 1982 to 1986, obtaining the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) with a focus on Medicine.
