Hollis Heavenrich-Jones has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of communications. Hollis started their career as an Account Supervisor at Tassani Communications in 1988. Hollis then worked as a Media Relations Supervisor at Rotary International from 1994 to 1998. In 1999, they joined the American Academy of Pediatrics as the Director of Media Relations, and held that position until 2006.
In 2007, Hollis founded their own communications company called Heavenrich-Jones Communications, where they served as the Principal. In this role, they provided guidance and direction to clients in developing effective media relations campaigns. Hollis also worked closely with stakeholders in various industries to create impactful messages and communication collateral.
From 2014 to the present, Hollis has worked with the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI) as the Director of Public Relations. Their responsibilities include enhancing the visibility and recognition of ACAAI and its specialists to the media and public. Hollis also coordinates with medical spokespersons to ensure clear and relevant messaging for asthma and allergy sufferers.
Additionally, Hollis was a member of the Chicagoland Medical Society PR Group from 2014 to 2015.
Hollis Heavenrich-Jones, MSC, has a diverse education history with a focus on communications and journalism. In 1974, Hollis attended the University School of Milwaukee, but no specific degree or field of study was provided. Following this, from 1978 to 1980, Hollis attended Kenyon College, where they studied English and Drama. The next step in their educational journey was from 1980 to 1983, when Hollis pursued a Bachelor's of Journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Afterward, from 2002 to 2004, Hollis obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Communications from Northwestern University.
