Finance & Operations Officer at American College of Medical Toxicology

Alex holds a diversified expertise in public/private organizations, including in project execution, social enterprise and non-profit finance, human resources and leadership/career development. She began her career as the Senior Program Assistant at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Israel, where she worked inter-departmentally on the program and in finance and human resources. While she worked on a number of initiatives, she spent her last year collecting the data, developing and implementing the first directly implemented UNHCR Israel community development program which focused on reducing the incidence of domestic violence within the asylum seeker and refugee communities in Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Arad and Eilat. . She worked closely with the Israeli Ministry of Health, Welfare, the police and the refugee and asylum seeker community.

After 5 years in Israel, Alex moved to New Orleans where she worked as a Program Manager at Tulane University while completing her MBA. Upon completion, she worked remotely for several years as a Project Finance Manager at Dimagi, Inc, an international social enterprise and as a Consultant in Leadership Development for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Alex holds a MBA from Tulane University and a BA in International Studies from the School of International Service at American University.
