Joseph Lim

Joseph Lim, MPA, AICP, is an experienced professional in community development and urban planning, currently serving as the Community Development Director for the City of Solana Beach since April 2018 and as a professional athlete with the American Cornhole League since September 2021. Prior roles include City Planner in Poway, Interim Development Services Director in Hesperia, and Director of Development Services in Indio, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of development activities, budget administration, and policy implementation. Lim began a career in planning as a Project Manager at B3 Planning Consulting and held various positions in Compton, managing planning and economic development efforts. Educational achievements include a Master of Public Administration from National University and a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
