Jim Capillo possesses extensive experience in criminal justice and security consulting, complemented by a legal background. Since 2000, Jim has been self-employed as a consultant on criminal and security issues, specializing in less lethal weaponry and legal training for law enforcement environments. Jim has also served as a sports official for USA Swimming and US Youth Soccer, an auditor for the American Correctional Association, and an adjunct instructor at ITT Technical Institute, teaching various subjects related to criminal law and paralegal studies. Prior roles include Major at LFUCG, where responsibilities included overseeing the constitutional care of incarcerated individuals, and Sr Prosecutor at the Fayette County Attorney's Office, where Jim supervised trial attorneys and paralegals. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from St. John's University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Cathedral College.
