Mellon/acls Dissertation Innovation Fellow at American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)

Aja A. is a dedicated academic and researcher with extensive experience in higher education and fellowships. Currently a Doctoral Student at the University of California, Berkeley, Aja also serves as a Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellow with the American Council of Learned Societies, a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation, and a Pre Doctoral Fellow with the Ford Foundation. Aja's prior roles include being a Resident Tutor at Harvard University's Mather House and a Research Associate at Brandeis University. Additionally, Aja held the position of Senior Program Manager at The OpEd Project and was a Fellow at the Schomburg-Mellon Humanities Institute at The New York Public Library. Aja earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University and both a Master of Arts and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley.
