Daniel Yaw Fiaveh

Postdoctoral Research Fellow at American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)

Daniel Yaw Fiaveh is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast since May 2016, specializing in Anthropology, Sociology, and African Studies, while also conducting research. In addition to their academic role, Daniel serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the American Council of Learned Societies since July 2018, focusing on the African Humanities Programme. As the Executive Director and founder of the Centre for Men's Health and Sex Studies, established in January 2011, Daniel promotes research on men’s health and sexual studies in Africa. Earlier experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at the Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy at the University of Ghana, Legon, from August 2011 to June 2014. Daniel holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon, and has academic training in Sociology and Anthropology from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
