Krisa Haggins, MBA, CMP has extensive experience in the field of meetings, conferences, and events. Krisa is currently serving as the Chief Meetings Officer at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), a role they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Vice President, Meetings, Conferences, and Educational Technology at ADEA from July 2016 to July 2022.
Before joining ADEA, Krisa worked at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, where they held multiple roles over the years. Krisa served as the Vice President of External Affairs from January 2014 to 2016. In addition, they served as the Director of Meetings & Events from December 2005 to January 2014. Krisa also took on the role of Interim President & CEO from October 2012 to February 2013. Krisa initially joined the organization as the Associate Director of External Affairs in May 2005.
Prior to their time at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Krisa worked at the American College of Cardiology as an Assistant Director of Exposition from 2001 to 2005. Krisa also gained experience at the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) as an Assistant Director of Meetings & Events from August 1998 to May 2001. Krisa's earliest work experience in their career was at Maryland Public Television, where they served as an Associate Producer from May 1992 to August 1998.

Krisa Haggins, MBA, CMP completed their Executive MBA program at Loyola University Maryland in 2007. Prior to that, they graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, with a minor in Business Administration. In addition to their educational background, Krisa Haggins holds a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification, which they obtained from the Events Industry Council in September 2007.
