Barbara Eichorst, MS, RD, CDCES has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare, specifically in diabetes management. Barbara currently serves as the Vice President of Health Care Programs at the American Diabetes Association. Prior to this, they worked as the Associate Vice President of Clinical Practice and Research at CenterWell Home Health, where they focused on producing outcome-driven interventions and value-based strategies. Barbara also served as a Clinical Diabetes Liaison at Voluntis, providing clinical/scientific leadership in the field of diabetes digital technology. Additionally, they held the position of Vice President of Clinical Care at Healthy Interactions, leading a global network of healthcare professional trainers and speakers. Barbara has extensive experience and knowledge as a Diabetes Educator, having worked at Quintiles and Rush University Medical Center. Barbara has also held leadership roles, such as Program Director at the American Association of Diabetes Educators, where they developed education programs and established strategic partnerships. Barbara Eichorst, MS, RD, CDCES pursued their education at multiple institutions. From 2004 to 2009, they attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School, where they pursued a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition degree (DCN), although they did not complete the program. Additionally, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nutrition Education from Eastern Illinois University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Dietetics/Dietitian from Olivet Nazarene University.
