David McDonald

Director, Enterprise Business Applications at American Diabetes Association

David McDonald has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. David started their career as a Data Entry Specialist at Adecco in 2006, where they were responsible for data entry and quality control of constituent and financial information in the CRM system. David also provided support for fulfillment services. In 2007, they joined the American Diabetes Association as an Associate Manager, Business Support Services, where they handled CRM and online fundraising application and operations support. David was responsible for resolving internal and external requests, performing data management and QC tasks, financial adjustments, and supplementing data entry services. Over the years, David McDonald progressed within the organization, taking on roles such as Manager, Business Support Services and Senior Manager, IT&S - Programs, Finance & Support. In these roles, they led teams, served as a subject matter expert for CRM and program-specific systems, provided application and operations support to various departments, and contributed to the development of policies and best practices. Most recently, David McDonald held the position of Associate Director, System Administration, where their responsibilities included managing and supporting CRM, HRIS, and program-specific systems and applications, as well as providing support to finance, human resources, development, marketing, and program delivery teams. In March 2022, they were promoted to the role of Director, Enterprise Business Applications at the American Diabetes Association.

David McDonald earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Theatre from Denison University in 2005. David then went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy from George Mason University in 2009.
