Kate Sturgess

Kate Sturgess currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Controller, and Chief Accounting Officer at American Electric Power, a position held since May 2023. Prior to this role, Sturgess was the Vice President and Controller at Edison International from July 2021 to May 2023. With extensive experience at National Grid from May 2016 to April 2021, Sturgess held multiple positions including Vice President of Global Finance Transformation, VP of US Head of FP&A and Controller, and VP of Strategic Initiatives. Earlier in the career, Sturgess worked at PwC as a Senior Manager from October 2006 to April 2016. Sturgess earned a Bachelor of History degree from The University of Sheffield and is a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW.
