Joshua Whitehead is an experienced data and machine learning professional currently serving as the Lead Data Engineer at American Equity since January 2023. Previously, Joshua held the position of Director of Data at Higher Ground Education from February 2019 to July 2022, where notable achievements included designing a customer portal that engaged 98% of users during peak seasons and developing a predictive workforce management solution with significant cost-saving potential. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Lead for Machine Learning at Simpology Australia, where Joshua designed a high-performance deep-learning platform for loan origination, earning the “Thomson Reuters Lending Platform Innovator of the Year” award in 2018. Additionally, Joshua was the Founder and Lead Software Engineer at Meteor AI, developing advanced analytics tools for poker professionals.
