Alex Gironde

Alex Gironde is an accomplished audit professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Internal Audit for Global Commercial Services at American Express since January 2023, Alex previously held senior leadership roles at Capital One, including Senior Director of Commercial Bank Audit and Director of Audit for Corporate Treasury. Prior experience at EY spanned over 16 years, where Alex excelled as a Senior Manager in both Advisory and Assurance services, focusing on financial services risk management and regulatory compliance, as well as leading audits for global investment banks and broker-dealers. Alex holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting and Finance, from Franklin & Marshall College.
