Benjamin Borges

Benjamin Borges has extensive experience in labor relations and organizing within the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), currently serving as Field Services Coordinator since April 2000. Previously, Borges held the position of Area Field Services Director with AFSCME from September 2000 to December 2012, where responsibilities included coordinating resources for union-led initiatives, collective bargaining, and leadership training. Additionally, Borges served as Lead Organizer, focusing on researching and overseeing organizing campaigns. Prior experience includes working as Organizing Coordinator at SPUR from September 1996 to September 2000. Benjamin Borges earned a Bachelor's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Universidad de Puerto Rico from 1980 to 1985.
