Ben Rushakoff serves as the Director of Restoration Partnerships & Innovation at American Forests since June 2021, where responsibilities include designing and implementing carbon finance opportunities for reforestation projects across North America. Previously, Rushakoff held various roles including Graduate Fellow and Biological Science Research Technician at Oregon State University, Data Analytics Contractor at American Forest Foundation, and Neighborhood Trees Outreach Associate at Friends of Trees. Additional experience includes positions such as Park Tree Inventory Coordinator for the City of Portland, Forest Carbon Intern at Pinchot Institute for Conservation, and Forestry Technician at Jefferson Resource Company, Inc. Rushakoff holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Forest Management from Oregon State University and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Economics & Policy and Forestry & Natural Resources from the University of California, Berkeley.
