Rodney D. Krug

National Manager, New Store Development at American Freight

Rodney D. Krug has extensive experience in the retail industry, with a focus on facility projects and new store development. Rodney D. is currently serving as the National Manager of New Store Development for American Freight Furniture, Mattress, Appliance since August 2020.

Prior to this, Krug worked at Sears Outlet Stores, LLC from January 2020 to August 2020 as the Manager of Facility Projects.

From 2012 to 2019, Krug held various roles at Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc., including Manager of Facility Projects. During their time there, they demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage complex projects, overseeing up to 53 store openings annually.

Before joining Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc., Krug worked at Sears Authorized Hometown Stores, LLC, starting in 2005. Rodney D. held multiple positions within the company, including Manager of Facility Projects and Transition Manager. In these roles, Krug efficiently managed multiple projects, ensuring compliance with Sears standards and timely completion of construction and remodels.

At ADS Small Business Network, Krug served as a Contracted Transition Manager for Sears Authorized Hometown Stores, LLC from 2000 to 2005. Rodney D. was responsible for optimizing operations, improving sales, and managing inventory for multiple stores simultaneously.

Prior to their role at ADS Small Business Network, Krug owned and operated a Sears Authorized Retail Dealer Store from 1997 to 2000. In this position, they developed a business plan, exceeded sales expectations, and provided product knowledge training to associates.

Rodney D. Krug pursued their education starting from 1984 to 1988, when they attended Wichita State University. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Following their bachelor's degree, they furthered their education by enrolling in Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. From 1990 to 1994, Rodney D. Krug successfully completed their studies at Keller Graduate School of Management and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
