Tat Sarkar

Tat Sarkar has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. They currently hold the position of Senior Vice President at American Global Logistics since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Engineering Strategy at SimpliSafe from January 2020 to June 2022.

From April 2017 to December 2019, Tat served as the General Manager for 3-day delivery at Wayfair. In this role, they led the strategy and implementation of a custom supply chain plan to start 2 and 3 day in-home delivery of large parcel orders. They increased the 3-day badging penetration to 27% within 9 months of launching the program.

Before Wayfair, Tat was the Founder and CTO of Office Bar102 from August 2016 to October 2019. They developed toolkits for making PPTs faster and easier, using technologies such as jQuery, python, mySQL, docker, google cloud, VBA, and XML modeling.

Tat also has experience as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from August 2015 to April 2017. They were a Fund Management Intern at Grove International Partners in 2014 and worked as the Strategic Advisor to CMD at Oberoi Realty from February 2011 to July 2013. At Oberoi Realty, they successfully addressed day-to-day challenges in multiple departments and managed long-term strategic challenges.

Tat's earlier experience includes working as a Manager of Project Finance at Reliance Power from April 2009 to January 2011. There, they raised debt for large under construction power projects and handled various responsibilities related to financing structure, due diligence, financial projections, and relationship management with lenders.

They also served as the Deputy Manager of Project Finance at Reliance Infrastructure from December 2007 to March 2009. Before that, Tat worked as an Associate Consultant at Hewitt Associates from April 2007 to November 2007, where they were involved in projects related to marketing, finance, talent management, and business case development.

Tat Sarkar began their education at Assembly of God Church School from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained their 10+2 STD in Science degree. They further pursued their studies at Jadavpur Vidyapith from 1992 to 2001, specializing in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, and Chemistry.

In 2001, Tat joined Jadavpur University and completed their B.Engg. degree in Metallurgical Engineering Material Science in 2005. They then enrolled at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, from 2005 to 2007, where they earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with a focus on Finance and Strategy.

Continuing their educational journey, Tat attended the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance in 2005/2006 and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Advising, specializing in Finance.

In 2013, Tat Sarkar joined Harvard Business School and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from 2013 to 2015.

In terms of additional certifications, Tat received certificates in Python Programming and R Programming from Coursera in March 2016.
