Beatrice Njuguna

Beatrice Njuguna has a strong background in internal audit and compliance roles. Beatrice is currently serving as the National Vice President of Internal Audit for the American Heart Association since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Tenet Healthcare from 2014 to 2022, starting as a Manager of Audit Services and progressing to roles such as Director of Referral Source Compliance and Senior Director of Compliance Audits and Data. From 2008 to 2014, Beatrice worked at A. H. Belo Corporation as a Manager of Internal Audit and Senior Internal Auditor. Beatrice also gained experience as an Internal Auditor at Belo from 2005 to 2007.

Beatrice Njuguna obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Texas Woman's University in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington - College of Business in 2006. Additionally, they have pursued additional certifications including the Black Executive Leadership Program from McKinsey & Company in 2023. The status of their certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is unknown.
